The Liberals will cut publicly-owned renewable energy and increase your power bills.

The State Electricity Commission (SEC) drives down power bills, building publicly-owned renewable energy for Victorians.

The Liberals sold it off under Jeff Kennett in the 1990s, Labor has brought it back.

The Liberals will abolish it, again.

Brad Battin said “the SEC is gone if we win.”

We know what that means: Higher power prices for families, bigger profits for overseas corporations.

The Liberals will cut public transport and make congestion worse.

The Suburban Rail Loop project will slash traffic congestion and transform our public transport system.

It delivers more transport, more homes and more jobs.

The Liberals will cut it.

Even though the underground rail line is currently under construction, Brad Battin has made the “captain’s call”.

We know what that means: More time stuck in traffic, and less time at home.

The Liberals will cut funding to our emergency services and put Victorians at risk of disaster.

The Labor Government is delivering a $250 million boost to our emergency services.

This investment will help the workers and volunteers who keep Victorians safe in floods and fires, with new trucks, tankers, training, equipment, and more.

The Liberals will cut the fund and cut this support for emergency services.

We know what that means: If emergency services can’t fight fires or respond to floods, Victorians lives are on the line.

The Liberals will cut new homes for young people in the middle of a housing crisis.

The Labor Government in Victoria is delivering more townhouses and apartments where young people want to live, near train stations.

It’s about opening doors for young people to get into a home they can afford.

The Liberals will reverse it.

We know what that means: No change to the status quo, no end to the housing crisis.

They’ve done it before, they’ll do it again.

The last time the Liberals were in office, they cut schools and hospitals and brought the TAFE system to its knees.

If Brad Battin and the Liberals get their hands on power, they’ll do it all over again.

Cuts are in their DNA.

Under the last Liberal Government in Victoria, the Liberals:

Cut $1 billion from the health system and went to war with our nurses and paramedics
Cut more than $1 billion from our education system and left our kids and teachers behind
Made the biggest cut to TAFE in Victoria’s history, sacking staff and shutting campuses in the middle of a jobs crisis
Cut $130 million from Victoria Police and $66 million from fire services
Cut first home buyer grants and made it harder for young people to get into their first home

Nothing was spared.

They even cut Free Fruit Fridays in classrooms.
